The Calgary Folk Arts Council works with and hosts a number of events throughout the city. Many of these are annual, and you can find information about them by checking the Events page or visiting our Facebook page.
The aim of the events we organize and participate in is to celebrate the diversity of performing arts and revel in their universality, as well as to cross all political and ethnic barriers and bring people together in peace and friendship with a common language - DANCE.
Our annual line-up of events includes International Dance Day, Canada Day Breakfast at the Zoo, and the Heritage Day Festival at the Olympic Plaza. We also organize entertainment at Stampede Breakfasts and a number of private events throughout the year. Please contact us for more information if you are interested at having us put together a program for your event!
